RCMP closes down Hunter Place after bomb threats
A bomb threat shut down the north end of Hunter Place for more than three hours on Friday afternoon.
According to Squamish RCMP Staff Sgt. Brian Cumming, the threat was called in to the Ministry for Child and Family Development office located on Hunter Place.
Several officers and dogs searched the area for hours before RCMP reopened the road. No bomb or any suspicious item was found. The source of the call was an Internet-based phone number, and the service provider was not able to provide the subscriber information.
