Break and enters
Two break-ins occurred in a single day.
Police say unknown suspects entered a shed in the 40000-block of Kintyre Drive. Afterwards, a Milwaukee 18-volt drill and Husqvarna chainsaw went missing. The items, taken on Nov. 19, have not been recovered.
On that same day, in separate incident, RCMP say suspects entered an unlocked parked vehicle in the 1200-block of Edgewater Crescent and used the truck’s garage door opener to enter the garage.
About $6,000 worth of hunting equipment, tools and electronics went missing.
Collisions
A vehicle rolled over on Highway 99 near Porteau Cove on Nov. 19. A Toyota Yaris struck the highway median and rolled over. The driver was transported to Squamish General Hospital by paramedics and was later released with minor injuries.
Another accident occurred the following day. A Volkswagen Beetle spun and collided with the southbound shoulder barrier on Highway 99 near Lions Bay on Nov. 20. The driver was uninjured. Traffic was stopped until the vehicle could be removed from the highway.
Theft of bike under $5,000
A blue and red Kona Fire mountain bike was stolen from Howe Sound Secondary School sometime between Nov. 17 and Nov. 20.
Assault
Police are accusing suspects of breaking into a basement suite on the 38000-block of Third Avenue and assaulting one of the tenants on Nov. 24.
Officers say the victim told police the suspects were unknown and that medical treatment was not required.
No property was reported stolen from the household.
Thefts of licence plates
The Squamish RCMP responded to multiple complaints of B.C. licence plates being stolen from vehicles between Nov. 19 and 24.
