Mystery note after collision
RCMP are asking the person who placed a note on a parked Hyundai Sonata on Jan. 22 to give police a call.
The note was presumably left by a driver who hit the Sonata when it was parked near the Independent Grocer.
It was raining at the time, soaking the message and making it illegible.

Multiple single-vehicle collisions
Police responded to multiple single vehicle collisions along Hwy 99 on Jan. 24.
In three separate incidents, vehicles slid off the highway or collided with traffic medians after driving through slush and pooling water.
No serious injuries were reported by the involved drivers and passengers.
Squamish RCMP are asking drivers to slow down and remain attentive during inclement weather.

Street racing
A driver was caught driving over 140 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Hwy 99 near Lions Bay on Jan. 25.
The suspect was issued a $368 violation ticket for excessive speed and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Break and enter
A break and enter to a business in the 30000-block of Discovery Way was reported on Jan. 25.
An unknown person climbed under fencing and stole copper wire, which was later recovered. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Squamish RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Causing a disturbance
While patrolling downtown Squamish, an officer observed an intoxicated man attempting to fight pedestrians on Cleveland Ave on Jan. 26, police say.
The man was arrested for causing a disturbance and was later found to have multiple outstanding warrants.
