THEFT FROM VEHICLE
Squamish RCMP were notified of a theft from a vehicle parked at Garibaldi Lake Provincial Park on Feb. 5
The owner of the vehicle reported that he was at Garibaldi Lake a few days prior where his wallet was taken from the vehicle.
Squamish RCMP had a large number of reported thefts from vehicles at Garibaldi Lake Provincial Park in 2017 and with the nicer weather returning, the Squamish RCMP are urging people to keep their valuables at home or take them with them.
VEHICLES VANDALIZED
Police say several vehicles were damaged on The Boulevard in the Highlands on Feb. 7.
The complainant stated their two vehicles, which were parked on The Boulevard, had a tire punctured on one vehicle and the other vehicle had multiple scratches into the paint.
The offence is believed to have taken place during the night on Feb. 2.
THEFT OF PACKAGE
A package was taken from the front of a residence in Lions Bay on Feb. 8, police say.
The complainant said the package was delivered to his residence by a courier company in the morning and when he returned home later that day the package was gone.
DOOR KICKER ARRESTED
A male was kicking on the door of a shed located at Pavilion Park in downtown Squamish on Feb. 8, police say.
Upon arrival, police attempted to arrest the male, who allegedly fought with officers.
The suspect was eventually taken into custody.
The male, who was well known to police, was released on several charges with a future court date and has been placed on multiple conditions including one where he is not to be in Squamish.
RIMS STOLEN
Police say a dealership on Government Road reported that two rims were taken from a vehicle on Feb. 8.
Two rims were missing from a smaller new model SUV.
Officers have identified two suspects.
One of them was believed to be wearing a yellowish jacket and jeans.
