MOTORCYCLE COLLISION
A motorcycle rider was transported to Vancouver General Hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP say a vehicle collided with a motorcycle, causing the rider of the motorcycle to be thrown into the ditch on April 27.
The accident, which occurred on Government Road, forced authorities to close the street.
Both the driver of the vehicle and motorcycle were transported to Squamish General Hospital, and the motorcyclist was later transferred to Vancouver.
FLAMING STOLEN VEHICLE
A truck was found in flames in Britannia Beach near Copper Drive and Highway 99 on April 29 at around 4 a.m.
It was later determined the blue 2015 Dodge 1500 had been stolen out of Vancouver a few hours earlier, police say.
TWO BRACKENDALE B&Es
There were two daytime break-and-enters in Brackendale on April 26, according to RCMP.
In the first case, an orange Kona bike and a Nikon D90 camera and lens went missing from a home on Eagle Run Drive, officers say.
In the second, an HDR camera was taken from a residence on Kingswood.
The incidents were believed to have happened around lunch time.
Due to the proximity of the residences, officers suspect the two may be connected.
Squamish RCMP is reminding residents there in a marked increase in residential break and enters and therefore locking doors and securing valuable items is recommended.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
A Tom Tom GPS was stolen from a Mazda 3 on the 37000-block of Cleveland Avenue, police say.
Officers were informed of the theft on April 25.
Police say the owner of the vehicle reported that the rear view mirror was ripped off and the windshield was cracked during the theft.
KAYAK STOLEN IN LIONS BAY
Squamish RCMP were notified of a Kayak which had been stolen from a property on Lions Bay Avenue in Lions Bay on April 28.
The Kayak is described as a white, Hybrid Blue Finn, 20 foot long Kayak.
