Highway crash

One person was sent to hospital after a high impact crash, on Saturday, May 26, on Highway 99 at Squamish Valley Road.

Police say it appears a truck was turning onto Squamish Valley Road from Highway 99 heading northbound.  The vehicle turned in front of a camper heading southbound.  BC Ambulance transported one of the passengers of the camper to Squamish General
Hospital.  Other injuries were reported as minor, police say.

Scooter theft

A yellow, motorized scooter was stolen overnight on Wednesday, May 23rd, from the backyard of a home on Kingswood Road in Brackendale.

Missing a suitcase?

A small suitcase was found, with it’s contents scattered in the woods near Guilford Drive and Spruce Drive on Wednesday, May 23.  The suitcase contained clothing, books, and some prescription medication.  The Squamish RCMP  has the item at the Squamish RCMP detachment for pickup.

Noisy boaters

Squamish RCMP officers were called in to assist BC Parks staff with two boatloads of Squamish residents off of Porteau Cove who were playing loud music and disturbing those in the area. When a BC Parks employee asked them to leave, they refused.  Squamish RCMP attended with the Coast Guard in the morning hours and the group was moved along from the area.
