Vehicle vandalized

Someone poured thinner on a brown 2000 Chevrolet motorhome, shearing off chunks of the vehicle’s paint.

The owner of the vehicle, which was parked in the 37900-block of Third Avenue, said this was the second time in a month this happened.

Officers are looking for information on the matter, which was reported on July 12.

Attempted B&E

Police say a man was trying to enter someone’s home on 2:30 a.m. at the Spiral Trailer Park.

RCMP say the suspect, who was wearing a hoodie, was trying to enter through a window.

After responding to the call, officers couldn’t find anyone at the scene.

Police say there’s been an increase in break-and-enters during the warm summer weather because people are keeping doors and windows open overnight or while away from their residence.

Confrontational campers

A group of males were allegedly becoming confrontational after park operators asked them to move out of a no-parking spot.

On July 14, park operators asked RCMP to help remove the visitors, who were from the Lower Mainland.

Officers arrived and helped show them out.

Vehicle pins pedestrian

A female pedestrian was pinned between a bike rack and a bumper of a Lincoln Navigator on the 1900-block of Garibaldi Way on July 15.

BC Ambulance attended and examined the female, who was not transported hospital.

Motorcycle collision

A motorcyclist was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after running into the back of a van on July 15.

Officers say the accident appeared to have happened during heavy “stop-and-go” traffic.
