Storage theft
RCMP say multiple items were stolen from a storage unit on the 1000 block of Enterprise Place.
The incident happened around July 1, and electronics and clothing were among the stolen items.
Phone scams
RCMP are warning about fraudsters after finding that calls seeming to originate from the local police detachment and the Canada Revenue Agency are asking people for bitcoin deposits.
Officers say that in other cases, scammers are asking for iTunes gift card numbers.
Police say they never make calls asking for bitcoin, social security numbers, banking information or gift card numbers.
Do not make any kind of transaction until you can verify you are actually talking to police.
RCMP say fraudulent calls are on the rise throughout Squamish, the Sea to Sky and the entire Lower Mainland.
You can also obtain information and report certain calls to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
