Police are seeking the public's help in their investigation of a car-motorcycle crash that occurred on the weekend just south of Britannia Beach.
On Sunday (Oct. 6) at around 9 p.m., Squamish RCMP responded to a report of an accident in the southbound lane just south of the hamlet, RCMP Sgt. Wayne Pride wrote in a statement.
A motorcyclist had lost control and crashed. Police believe the motorcyclist was then struck by another vehicle, also travelling southbound, after falling from his motorcycle. The man, a 33-year-old from Coquitlam, was last reported in hospital with serious injuries, Pride said.
The accident's cause is under investigation. Police are seeking information from anyone who might have witnessed the accident and hasn't already provided a statement. Of interest is a male driver of a faded blue or red pickup truck who was driving behind the motorcycle when the crash occurred. If you have info, police ask that you call (604) 892-6100 and quote file No. 2013-6640.
