Transit users looking to catch a bus in the Garibaldi Highlands will need to wait as the snow keeps falling in Squamish.

“Due to heavy snowfall, Route #2 Highlands & Route #9 Quest University will only be running in the low areas into the foreseeable future or roads are cleared,” reads the alert by BC Transit on Dec. 23.

Heavy snow continues to fall in Squamish, as Environment Canada predicted.

For Saturday, Environment Canada says the Whistler region and the Sea to Sky Highway will see more snow.

“In the Whistler area and on the Sea to Sky highway, precipitation will persist as snow, and become very heavy on Saturday. Travellers should be prepared for significant travel delays on Saturday and Saturday night,” reads a release from this morning.

Keep an eye out on the roads by visiting DriveBC.ca or by following Drive BC on social media. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
