The Quest University Kermodes men's soccer team will have a much better shot to qualify for the postseason after a ruling by Pacwest officials on Thursday (Oct. 20).It was determined that the Douglas College Royals had used an ineligible player for their first 10 games of the year and as a result were stripped of all of their points gained in those games. The Kermodes had lost to Douglas 1-0 back on Sept. 25 but that decision was reversed, giving Quest the 1-0 win and the team is now only two points behind the third place Kwantlen Eagles for the final playoff spot.Quest will control its own destiny starting on Saturday (Oct. 22) when the aforementioned Royals will visit Quest field. The Kermodes will then take on Kwantlen on Sunday (Ocy. 23), in what could be the game that determines the final playoff spot in Group A.The Kermodes will take to the pitch against Douglas on Saturday at 2 p.m and then battle Kwantlen on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both games take place at Quest field.Check back to The Chief online for more on this story throughout the weekend.
