This weekend Squamish RCMP found a missing man on an island in Howe Sound.
The 33-year-old from Alberta went missing on Friday, Aug. 2. At the time, officers received a call from Alberta police regarding an emotionally distraught man who had been camping in the Sea to Sky Corridor, Squamish RCMP Sgt. Wayne Pride said. Police found the man's truck and boat trailer in Porteau Cove and after an extensive search, which included the Coast Guard, the man's boat was discovered on Defence Island, Pride said.
The man was taken to the hospital, he said.
