RCMP seeking suspect in armed robbery attempt

A man carrying a firearm entered the 7-Eleven by the Sea to Sky Highway at 3:50 a.m.

RCMP are looking for a man who allegedly attempted to rob the 7-Eleven on the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and the Sea to Sky Highway.

 

Police say at 3:50 a.m. Thursday morning a man entered 38471 Cleveland Ave. and brandished a firearm, but didn’t take any money or merchandise.

 

He left without further incident.

 

Officers are on the lookout for the man, who is described as follows:

 

Caucasian;
5'7" - 5' 9" tall
Approx 20-30 years old
slim build, approx 160-170 lbs.
light tan sneakers;
slim blue jeans;
white shirt peeking out under hoody;
wearing light coloured gloves;
black hoody with white spiderweb-like design on the hood (hood up) and kanga pocket;
the hoody had a white triangle with a circle around it on both shoulders and white markings are slightly visible under his backpack;
a green camo style back pack with orange piping;
and a beige bandanna covering his face.
