Reece to be sentenced Aug. 28

A Squamish man who recently pleaded guilty in the fatal crash that killed a Squamish mother of two has had his sentencing hearing set back until August.

On May 22, Ryan Brandon Reece pleaded guilty in North Vancouver Provincial Court to criminal negligence causing death in relation to the two-vehicle crash on Nov. 1, 2012, in Brackendale that killed Tanya Lee Boudewyn.

A tentative sentencing date of Wednesday (June 11) had been set, but during a court appearance on May 29, a judge set back Reece’s sentencing on the conviction until Aug. 28.
