Police taped off an area of downtown Squamish yesterday evening for what turned out to be the body of a dead animal.
A doctor was called to determine if the remains were animal or human, and confirmed it was an animal, Squamish RCMP said.
Police cars had their lights on beside the taped-off area, which was close to the end of Pemberton Avenue and the train tracks before the Mamquam Blind Chanel.
The RCMP was unable to say what kind of animal it was.
