Karen Saenger, who is just completing her fourth year as vice-principal at Mamquam Elementary School in Squamish, has been named principal at Spring Creek Community School in Whistler for the 2011-'12 school year.
Saenger assumes her new duties on Aug. 1, Sea to Sky School School District officials said in a statement issued on Thursday (June 16). She has a wide range of teaching experience at the elementary and secondary levels and has taught in Ontario, the United States (Maine) and Switzerland.
Saenger replaces Gerri Galloway, who was recently named principal at Squamish's Garibaldi Highlands Elementary.
