In less than a year of operations, the Sea to Sky Gondola is up for a national award. The tourist attraction is nominated for the Brewster Travel Canada Innovator of the Year Award. Other nominees for the award are Holland America Line based in Dawson City in the Yukon Territories, Ontario’s Elgin Military Museum, and VéloVolant in Sutton, Quebec.
The Rocky Mountaineer is up for a pair of TIAC awards. The tourist train, which runs through Squamish, is nominated for the Tourism Employer of the Year Award and the Traveller Experience of the Year Award.
The award ceremony is set for Nov. 26 in Ottawa during the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) Tourism Summit.
