With more than 20 years of helicopter industry experience in Canada and internationally under his wings, former pilot Tim Boyle has been hired by Blackcomb Helicopters to take the company to new heights.

Aside from being a pilot, Boyle has also served as a base manager and operations manager, joining Blackcomb two years ago as the director of business development. In that role, he helped Blackcomb grow its operations from the Sea to Sky Corridor to Alberta and Ontario. The company's 30-plus year history includes bases in Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Sechelt, Lillooet and Vancouver International Airport.

"Strategic growth will continue throughout Canada and the United States as we refine our fleet and leverage new opportunities," Boyle said in a press release.

The company's operations include heli-tourism and recreation, search and rescue, med-evac, firefighting, films, and utility services.

"Tim has demonstrated his strategic insight and abilities, bringing a fresh perspective to Blackcomb's operations. We look forward to Tim's further contributions to make Blackcomb an iconic helicopter company," Jason McLean, Blackcomb Helicopters Chair and McLean Group CEO, said in the press release.

"I also want to thank John Morris for serving as general manager during a period of transition, and we are grateful to have him in a continued strategic leadership role."

Previously, Morris held the general manager role for four years. Morris continues as a director and executive for the company.
