If you have not recently gone for a walk or drive up over the new Mashiter Creek bridge at the top of The Boulevard in the Garibaldi Highlands area, into the newly developing University Lands, then I highly recommend it. A vast amount of work has already taken place and the opened up views are magnificent.

Keep an eye out around town for a petition requesting interest in a Pitch and Put Golf Course for Squamish. This would be a mini golf course suited for use by young people or others learning to golf and for seniors wanting to continue golfing but not wanting the exertion of a full sized nine or eighteen hole golf course. Even if you would not avail yourself of such a course, if you think it would be good for our community members and tourists who would make use of such a facility, please consider signing the petition. This proposal has been repeatedly made to Council over the past 14 or so years. Maybe the time is now for one to be included in the "Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada".
