Don’t let the sun fool you – severe thunderstorms could hit Squamish, Whistler, eastern Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley this evening.
The storm could produce strong wind gusts, “intense” lightning, large hail and heavy rain, according to Environment Canada. Heavy rain could cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
"Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!" says Environment Canada.
