'Speculation' renews call to find Coquitlam man missing out of Whistler

Have you seen Jonathan White? He appeared to have visited Blackcomb Mountain over the May long weekend, but hasn't been seen since.

Mounties say new details have emerged about a 35-year-old Coquitlam man who was reported missing more than two months ago.

Jonathan White spent the May long weekend in Whistler and was last seen the afternoon of May 22 heading down the Blackcomb Gondola.

However, White has still yet to be found and officers have renewed their call for the public to help find him.

"Police have received some information about Jonathan based on speculation, however, we need to communicate with him directly to ensure his well-being as family and friends are extremely worried," explained Sea to Sky RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Angela Kermer in a release on Wednesday (Aug. 3).

An earlier statement said White was seen walking north east on Blackcomb Way in the Whistler Village area.

He's described as:

  • White
  • 5'7"
  • Slim build
  • Brown eyes
  • Short brown hair
  • Lip piercing on right lower lip
  • Noticeable scar on right cheek
  • Last seen wearing...
    • Red T-shirt with yellow happy face

Anyone with more information on White or his whereabouts is encouraged to call Whistler RCMP at 604-932-3044 and quote file-number 2022-2477, anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or go online to www.solvecrime.ca.
