For the fourth straight year, the Squamish Chief newspaper has been judged to be the best in its category.
The Chief received its fourth consecutive Newspaper Excellence gold medal win on Saturday (April 25) beating out the Whistler Question and the Gulf Islands Driftwood in Category C.
Squamish Chief publisher Darren Roberts received the award at the annual B.C. and Yukon Community Newspaper Association’s Ma Murray Awards gala in Richmond.
The Chief also won the award in 2014, 2013 and 2012. Chief reporter Jennifer Thuncher also earned a bronze medal for Sports Writing for a story she wrote while at the Vancouver Courier.
