Squamish Fire Rescue knocked down a structure fire on the 1900-block of Dowad Drive on May 12.
Crews responded to the fire at 1:21 p.m., said District spokesperson Rachel Boguski.
“One cat was rescued from the building and attended to by fire crews on scene,” wrote Boguski in a statement to The Squamish Chief. “There were no other significant injuries reported. Squamish Fire Rescue is investigating the cause of the fire.”
She added the building suffered smoke and water damage, but the structure itself appears to be intact.
