Squamish Graduation Parade 2021 rolls through town (PHOTOS)

Smiles, waves, gowns, tuxes — and honks, made it a day to remember.

COVID-19 may have taken away the traditional prom from Squamish 2021 grads, but it couldn't take away their smiles — or their celebration.

On Saturday, June 12th, the Graduation Parade took to the streets under a suddenly sunny sky.

It started at 3:30 p.m. at Howe Sound Secondary on Buckley Avenue and saw grads in their finest attire driven through town in decked-out vehicles. Locals cheered from along the route down Government Road, through the Northyards, passed Mamquam Elementary and down Government Road to Don Ross Middle School where the parade finished up.

Congratulations to all graduating students, their parents, families, and teachers.
