Theft foiled
A male tried to steal alcohol from Gillespie's Fine Spirits on June 1. When he was confronted, he left a blue and orange bicycle behind. RCMP identified the bike as belonging to owners on Diamond Head Road and returned it. A police file states the male who took the bike and attempted to steal alcohol is unidentified.
Drive and run?
Earlier in the week, Squamish RCMP spotted a driver who attempted to avoid a police roadblock on Government Road. On May 31, officers followed the vehicle from a distance, finding it abandoned at the end of a street. Inside was a cell phone and unopened beer can. Police towed the vehicle.
Bike theft
On June 1, the Squamish RCMP were called about a blue and orange CCM Savage bike that has reportedly been stolen from an open garage on Diamond Head Road. The owner said they were doing yard work at the time.
