Speeding on the highway
A motorcyclist was ticketed for excessive speed and had his motorcycle impounded after Sea to Sky Traffic Services clocked him travelling 130 kilometres an hour, according to Squamish RCMP. The motorcyclist was travelling north from Darryl Bay on July 9, around 7:45 a.m.
Arrest in Highlands
On July 14, the police were called about a suspicious male and female walking through properties in the 40400 block of Thunderbird Ridge. When police patrolled the area, they found two people matching the description, and arrested a female for outstanding warrants.
Patrolling Howe Sound
The Seasonal Policing Unit was patrolling Squamish waters on July 13 when they found a crab trap was set in a protected fishing area. The trap was removed. Police also did a compliance check, and found one boat did not display registration or carry proper equipment.
