“The Squamish RCMP extends its appreciation to all for a well-attended and overall enjoyable festival weekend from the policing perspective,” stated an RCMP release this week. “The majority in attendance were well-behaved, present to enjoy the entertainment, and a pleasure to deal with.”
Police say they were kept busy with “numerous individuals [who] spent some evenings in cells due to alcohol and drug-related concerns,” but overall were “pleased to report the number of criminal code offences and resulting investigations were reasonable.”
