A Squamish man has been arrested on alleged child pornography-related offences, Squamish RCMP say.
On Thursday, June 27, Squamish RCMP and the Provincial Integrated Child Exploitation Unit worked together to execute a search warrant that led to the arrest of a local man for the alleged offences.
Charges have not yet been laid.
"The investigation was initiated as a result of information received from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children," Squamish RCMP Const. Ashley MacKay told The Chief on Friday.
The man was released on conditions to appear in court at a later date.
The Squamish RCMP is continuing its investigation and is working with partners to ensure community safety, MacKay said.
The RCMP is not releasing other details to the media or public at this time.
