Business break and enter

On Friday, Aug. 15, police received a report of a break, enter and theft that occurred overnight at a business in the 38000 block of Cleveland Ave. 

The lock in the front door had been pried open and a quantity of cash from the register was stolen. The incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. the evening prior and 7:30 a.m. Nothing else was stolen, nor damage done.

Another break and enter

On Friday, Aug. 15, another break and enter was reported at a business in the same 38000 block of Cleveland Ave. 

The front lock was pried open to gain access, and cash stolen from the register. This occurred between 6 p.m. on Aug. 14 and 4:45 a.m. Aug. 15. 

In both cases police are looking into video surveillance from the area.

Theft from vehicle

A vehicle was broken into on Saturday, Aug. 16, while parked at the Shannon Falls parking lot between 2:30 and 3 p.m. 

A black Nissan Pathfinder had its front passenger window smashed. 

A purse containing ID, cash and bank cards, a black Dell laptop, and an iPad were stolen.

Witnesses provided details on a possible associated vehicle and suspicious individuals in the area. Police are following up on this information.

Mischief to vehicle

A vehicle was targeted between 3 and  3:15 p.m. at Shannon Falls parking lot on Saturday, Aug. 16. 

A white Chevy Astro van was keyed while parked in the lot and a door lock damaged in a failed attempt to gain entry. Nothing was stolen.

More Mischief

Saturday, Aug. 16 another report was received about a vehicle damaged and broken into, this time while parked on Darrel Bay Rd. near Hwy 99, between noon and 4 p.m. 

The driver’s side door lock was damaged to gain entry and stolen was a BlackBerry in a brown case, a Sony Cyber-Shot camera, $40 cash and 5 EUR.

Trailer theft

Monday, Aug. 18 a report was received of a black 2004 Snowbear trailer being stolen from a storage parking lot at Klahanie Campground in the 36000 block of Darrell Bay Rd. 

The trailer was last seen on Saturday, Aug. 16. The tailgate and sides of the trailer were built up approximately two feet high, and was bearing a B.C. license plate of UEE20M.
