Squamish residents protest pipeline

Rally set for Oct. 24

Squamish residents are set to speak out against the Northern Gateway Pipelines proposal.

Organized by Defend our Coast, on Monday, Oct. 22, citizens plan to march into B.C.'s capital protesting Enbridge's proposal to build a twin pipeline from Alberta to Kitimat, B.C. On Wednesday, Oct. 24, activists are calling for residents to protest against the project at their MLA's office.

Squamish residents will hold a rally at Nexen Beach at noon and 5:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome, environmental activist Tracey Saxby said.
