Squamish Search and Rescue came to the aid of a fallen snowmobiler this morning, marking the fifth call for rescuers this year.
At 9:15 a.m. on Jan. 26, crews responded to a snowmobile accident on the access road up Brohm Ridge, said manager B.J. Chute.
The rider had a lower leg fracture, and a team of rescuers on snowmobiles found the man, treated him and brought him to a helicopter where he was airlifted to safety.
The man is now in the care of paramedics.
About 10 rescuers remain on the field.
