The 2020 Squamish Street Market series of events in June, July and August in downtown has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
On April 21, an email from event organizer Bianca Peters said that participants will be receiving refunds for the events.
Peters said that her goal is to bring the markets back in summer 2021.
The Squamish Street Market is a relatively new event that has been providing vendors and performers a place to showcase their wares and skills during the sunnier months.
COVID-19 has thrown many events in the summer into uncertainty, prompting mass cancellations.
It’s unclear how long social distancing measures will be in place, though authorities appear to be suggesting it will be, at the very least, for a period of months.
