They got a deal.

Squamish’s Meghan Conyers and Quincy Samycia of Strongbody Apparel pitched their fitness clothing business in the Dragons’ Den on Oct. 12.

They hoped to secure investment from the CBC TV show for their company and they weren’t disappointed.

What they walked away with was a deal with Joe Mimram, founder of Club Monaco and Joe Fresh, for $200,000.

“I like the logo, I like the name,” Mimram said in laying out his offer. “I think you two are exciting young entrepreneurs.”

According to the couple’s blog, after their pitch, “the producers were also raving with excitement. This was the first time in Dragons' Den history that Joe had made an offer on a clothing company.”
