The District of Squamish is once again seeking some extra support in the Mayor’s office.
The municipality’s annual Mayor for a Day contest is underway and local elementary school students are invited to participate. Students have to answer one question: “what would YOU do if you were Mayor for a Day?”
The Mayor for a Day contest is open to elementary school students in Squamish. The winner and a friend will win a day on May 22, touring district facilities, including a ride in a fire truck. The winner will also appear in local media and will win a pizza lunch for their class. Letters must be received by noon Tuesday, May 20. Submit letters online at www.squamish.ca/mayorforaday.
