Chief financial officer Christine Mathews has left her job at the District.
Municipal spokesperson Christina Moore told The Chief that personal reasons are behind Mathews' departure, which occurred earlier in December.
She has been with the District for eight years, almost four of those as the CFO.
Her departure comes in the middle of council's budget talks for 2020.
In the meantime, Linda Klassen, the District's manager of financial operations, has taken on the role of acting chief financial officer in the interim.
The District has put out job postings seeking a person to replace Mathews.
