Sympathies

Editor, My sincere sympathies go out to the family of Alex Larsen ["Local man killed lying on highway," The Chief, Feb. 12]. This tragedy leaves them without their father and no words can ever relieve the pain they are feeling.

Editor,

My sincere sympathies go out to the family of Alex Larsen ["Local man killed lying on highway," The Chief, Feb. 12]. This tragedy leaves them without their father and no words can ever relieve the pain they are feeling. This young man was at my business last Saturday night and left in good spirits before 1:30 a.m.

We at the Grizzly take our duties for responsible liquor service very seriously. Alex was not over served by us last Saturday, and was cognitive when he departed. He spoke with one of our doorman, a childhood friend of his upon departure and said he was going to a house party.

As I did not know Alex personally I feel awkward making any comment, but unfortunately due to the report published last week we felt clarification of facts was necessary.

Respectfully,

John Dancy

Editor's note: The story did not state Alex Larsen was over served at the Grizzly Pub.
