Squamish Fire Rescue was called to the fire on Magnolia Crescent in Valleycliffe at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (May 6). A 10 by 12 foot tool shed was destroyed along with approximately $10,000 worth of tools.

Recurring offender arrested

A Squamish man who has been arrested at least 14 times in 2006 alone was arrested again Saturday (May 6). Daniel Splinter, 22, of no fixed address will be held in custody until his May 12 court appearance for theft and possession of stolen property.

Children's toys stolen

RCMP are investigating the break and entry of a residence on the 37000 of 5th Avenue, which occurred sometime between Saturday April 29 and Monday May 1. Thieves broke a window to enter the premises and got away with children's toys, clothes, food and computer software.

Stolen BC Hydro truck stripped

On Tuesday (May 9) RCMP retrieved a stripped BC Hydro truck reported stolen May 4. The 2001 Chevy flatbed pick-up truck was found at the 22 mile mark of Squamish Valley Road at the Ashlu Mine site.
