RCMP say that a vehicle hit a bear on Highway 99, just south of Squamish, on May 3.
The bear ran into the bush and was unable to be located by police so it's injuries were unknown and the vehicle had minor damage, officers say.
Squamish RCMP is reminding the public of the increase in wildlife along the roadways and highways, especially during the evening and night hours.
Elk, cougars, bears, deer, and many more animals can cross the roads.
