Emergency crews responded to a single vehicle crash involving a Dodge pickup truck Wednesday morning.
The incident happened some time after 8 a.m. across from the Brennan Park tennis courts. An air ambulance was dispatched to the accident scene and left at about 10:30 a.m.
Bob Fulton with Squamish Fire Rescue reported the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, appears to have suffered a medical emergency.
"The vehicle was stabalized by Squamish Fire Rescue," said Fulton. "We did extracation to get the occupant out."
The roof of the truck was peeled back and the front windshield was removed so the rescue crew could get the driver out of the vehicle.
According to Fulton, the man's medical emergency met the criteria for a helicopter transfer so the air ambulance was called in.
The RCMP continues to investigate, Fulton added.
