The District of Squamish has implemented its water conservation plan, limiting lawn watering to the following schedule:

For from numbered street addresses, lawn watering is permitted only twice a week Wednesdays and Saturdays from 4 to 9 a.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m.

For odd numbered street addresses, lawn watering is limited to twice a week from 4 to 9 a.m., and from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays.

Residents who are caring for new sod or newly placed grass seed may apply for a permit to water outside of the water conservation schedule. Permits are free and available for pick up from the operations department at the public works yard at 39909 Government Road.

Residents are also asked to wash their cars only when necessary and to ensure water is not running constantly from the hose.
