With the summer heat comes restrictions.

The District of Squamish has implemented phase three of its water conservation measures. This means watering gardens will be restricted to certain days and times.

Residents living in houses with an even street number are allowed to feed the plants on Wednesday and Saturday between 4 and 9 a.m. and 7 and 10 p.m. Citizens living in houses with odd street numbers can water their plants on Thursday and Sunday during the same time periods.

Lawns only need about an inch of water to keep their lushness, the district stated in a press release.

"Better yet, let your lawn go brown to help maintain water quality in Squamish!" the municipality stated.
