Squamish RCMP is warning local residents to be wary of the current wind.
With high winds, there's the potential for falling trees, local police warned via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
There are reports of trees down on the road to the Spit and on Squamish Valley Road, just off Highway 99 by the landfill, with the road there blocked by a downed timber.

Reports are also coming in of downed fencing and partial walls coming down on construction sites.

As of 1:40 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, the wind is blowing at 86km/h, and an Environment Canada wind warning is in effect.
"This is a significant wind storm and could cause widespread damage," warns the Environment Canada alert.
Those living around Squamish Valley Road are reporting power outages.
