The wildfire burning 13 kilometres east of Squamish near the Mamquam Forest Service Road is now 60 per cent contained, according to BC Wildfire Service.
It is around three hectares in size, down from 3.5 hectares yesterday.
Crews are continuing to work today and another update is expected this afternoon.
“[The fire] is ranked 1-2, on the six-level Wildfire Ranking scale, which indicates that there is smouldering ground fire and low vigour surface fire,” reads a news release from BC Wildfire Service.
