Here we blow again, Squamish. An Environment Canada wind warning is in effect for Howe Sound.
Strong winds that may cause damage are expected. [March 12]
"High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break," Environment Canada reports.
An approaching low pressure system will increase the outflow winds through the sound tonight, according to the Environment Canada alert issued mid-day on Monday.
Winds of northeast 70 km/h with higher gusts will develop overnight and continue into early Tuesday morning, according to the alert.
The wind will ease late Tuesday morning as the low passes.
