Youth week is coming up.
From April 30 to May 6 the Squamish Youth Resource Centre will be hosting the event here in town.
A photography workshop, Air House trampolining, skating at Brennan Park, aikido, and more will be up for people to participate in.
Two highlights that stand out will be the 99 Grind Skate Jam on May 3 and the Teen Awards on May 6.
The jam promises to be a good time, according to an organizer.
“We have a variety of children and youth that will participate with prizes from our sponsors such as Stuntwood, OTP and Corsa,” said Celie French, who works at the youth centre, in an email. “Mag's 99 and Alice and Brohm are coming to serve up some treats to spectators.”
With respect to the Teen Awards, anyone can cast a vote for a youth they believe who’ve made a difference here: https://squamish.ca/recreation/youth-centre/youth-week-2018-award-nominations/
