HSMSL back after winter break

Men's soccer league returning to Brennan Park this Sunday

After an 11-week winter break, the Howe Sound Men's Soccer League (HSMSL) returns to the pitch at Brennan Park on Sunday (Feb. 12) with all six teams back in action.

The week's marquee matchup will feature a battle of the league's top two teams, as Sikh Temple takes on Khalsa. Both teams have only lost one game apiece, with Khalsa sitting on top of the league with nine wins and one loss. Temple is only two points back with a record of eight wins, one loss and one tie. The two teams met on Oct. 23, with Khalsa handing Temple its only loss on the season.

The Ellis Moving Eagles will take on Automind in a battle for fourth place. Both teams sport identical records. The squads also met on Oct. 23, with the Eagles picking up a 4-2 victory.

The late game will see sixth-place Zephyr take on third-place Galileo. Zephyr will be looking to avenge the 6-1 loss it suffered to Galileo back on Oct. 23.

Games are scheduled for 10 a.m. and noon, weather permitting, at Brennan Park. For more information on the league, visit www.howesoundmens.snappages.com.
