Sea to Sky young guns put their burgeoning talent on full display this Wednesday at the Canada Cup race in Panorama, B.C.

Mack Manietta was the only underage rider to finish in under two minutes and 40 seconds (2:39.839), with the other six to accomplish it being pro men. Needless to say, Manietta destroyed his own U15 expert boys category by establishing a 14.5-second gap to runner-up Xavier Harrisson (2:54.441). Reno Lafontaine was even further back in third (2:59.109).

"I’m super happy with how I rode in my race run after a pretty bad morning practice, with a bunch of red flags and a couple crashes," said Manietta on his Instagram account. "I’m also really hyped with my time in general."

Likewise, Ruby Wells showed up her elders by notching the fastest overall time among women (3:09.630) as a U17 sport/expert girl. Arleigh Kemp of Pemberton collected silver (3:16.423) and bronze went to Piper Graaten.

"I’m really happy to be feeling like myself on the bike again after my couple of injuries," wrote Wells on social media. "I can’t wait for Nationals in Sun Peaks next week!"
