SORCA youth loonie brings out the sun

Sports

Contributed to The Chief

The Squamish Off-Road Cycling Association (SORCA) would like to remind everyone that the next youth Loonie race event is scheduled for Sunday (May 8) at Alice Lake. Meet and sign on at the Alice Lake SORCA Shelter from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. with the race starting at 3 p.m. sharp.

All participants must be SORCA members with the Cycling BC insurance option. Participants will receive "points" for top-three finishes as well as participation in each event. And remember that Huge Mega-Bonus points will be awarded to kids who attend other SORCA events such as trail maintenance days. Which means that top race finishers may not be the season end prize winners. The cost is $1 and covers post-race refreshments.

Check www.sorca.ca/ youth for a calendar of events and updates or email Jim at [email protected].
