Why are you taking the Test?

Because it's my favourite race of the year and the funnest race of the year.

How many times have you taken the Test?

Seven times.

What is your best personal time?

How long have you been racing?

I've been racing since I was 11 years old, all over Canada.

Do you have an inspiring racer?

Probably Neil Kindree, the most disciplined cyclist I know.

What kind of frame do you use?

A Giant.

What's your training regime?

Lots of intervals and weights in the winter and lots of time on the bike.

Do you have an energy boost secret?

Eating before you're hungry and drinking before you're thirsty.

What do you expect your biggest challenge to be during the race?

Stopping at the finish line because riding's so much darn fun!

Trail Maintenance = TEST ENTRY!

Anyone who missed out on getting into the Test of Metal this year need not despair. People can participate in trail maintenance and get free, guaranteed entry into the race. All you have to do is participate in four out of six official trail days. Each session lasts about three hours and involves moderate physical labour.
