Two people have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery at 99 North Medical Cannabis Dispensary earlier this month.

On Dec. 1, two suspects entered the dispensary, one brandishing a replica black pistol, according to a Squamish RCMP news release.

A suspect took the content’s of the dispensary’s safe, police said.

Two suspects fled the scene in a Ford F150 truck.

Police later determined that the robbery was linked to a previous home invasion on Nov. 24, in which a resident was assaulted.

Investigators quickly determined that the house where the home invasion occurred was the subject of a drug (Controlled Drug and Substances Act CDSA) warrant executed by Sea-to-Sky General Investigation Section on Oct. 5.

On Dec. 10, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a man and a woman police believe to be connected to these incidents were arrested in Squamish. Police seized stolen property, cash, marijuana products, and a black replica pistol.

A second man is believed still at large, police said.

“This investigation came together through the collaboration and support of engaged citizens and investigative work by our officers,” said Sgt, Jeff Shore of the Squamish RCMP. “The nature of these offences are concerning and required a strong response. In this instance, the police and community came together to prevent further acts of violence and it also resulted in the recovery of stolen property.”
